Our Impact

Boys & Girls Clubs of Bartow County offers tested, proven and nationally recognized programs in five Core Program Areas that closely align with the developmental needs of all young people:

• Character and Leadership Development
• Education and Career Development
• Health and Life Skills
• The Arts
• Sports, Fitness and Recreation

We also undertake specialized initiatives that cut across more than one program area and/or address the unique needs of special populations.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Bartow County’s programs are designed to encourage Club members to realize a wide variety of positive outcomes, a strategy for developing the “whole child.” In recent years, the Boys & Girls Club Movement has focused additional efforts on helping children and teens achieve in our three priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles.

We are committed to following our roadmap for ensuring that young people have a positive, impactful Club Experience and, ultimately, achieve the important outcomes that lead them to great futures.

Demonstrating our Positive Impact

Academic Success:

We enhance literacy skills with Project Learn & Power Hour
We promote STEAM learning – DIY STEM
We prepare for Post-Secondary Education with Career Launch & Money Matters

Our Impact:
Among Teen Aged Club Members, 98% expect to graduate from High School, and 77% expect to complete some type of post-secondary education.

Good Character & Citizenship:

We empower youth to become strong leaders in the community with a passion for helping others through programs like Keystone & Torch Clubs.

Our Impact:
87% of our Teen Members volunteer in the community and/or their Club at least 8 times per year.

Healthy Lifestyles:

We help youth engage in positive behaviors that nurture their over-all well-being. In the Clubs, kids learn how to eat well, become more physically fit and engage in healthy relationships.

Our Impact: 91% of Club Members report getting at least an hour of physical activity on five or more days per week.
